Description
The City of Charlottesville is seeking a qualified architectural/engineering firm or individual to provide comprehensive services for renovating the Jefferson Madison Regional Library Central Library at 201 E Market Street. The scope includes operational programming; conceptual, schematic, and final architectural and engineering design; historic-fabric-sensitive renovation; complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing modernization; hazardous-material abatement planning; communications and security systems; structural, civil, fire-safety, utilities, landscape, interior, and graphic design as applicable; and coordination of a local architecture firm. The selected professional will also coordinate LEED certification, provide construction cost estimating and construction documents, and perform construction administration through project close-out. Required proposal content includes methodology and a specific project plan, staffing and resumes, relevant experience, at least four recent references, required business and licensing information, a complete proposal upload, certifications, and proprietary-information documentation. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the City's OpenGov procurement portal; mailed, emailed, faxed, and hand-delivered proposals will not be accepted.
