Description
New Kent County, through a joint procurement with New Kent County Public Schools, is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide professional services on an annual, as-needed basis. The scope includes general civil engineering and surveying, site-plan review, structural engineering, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression and alarm systems engineering, geotechnical engineering and testing, construction administration, industrial hygiene and hazardous-materials services, acoustical engineering, and traffic and transportation engineering added by Addendum No. 1. Services may include planning and feasibility studies, site evaluation, design, transportation and drainage improvements, water and wastewater infrastructure, utility coordination, permitting, cost estimating, inspections, construction administration, and related reports and documentation. Offerors may propose on any combination of service groups, and the County may make multiple awards. Work will be assigned through individual task orders on an as-needed and as-requested basis, with no guaranteed amount of work. Firms must be registered in Virginia, and subcontracting requires prior written County consent. Proposals must include the specified technical and qualifications information, project-team resumes, relevant experience, five references, and the required proposal attachments and signature materials.
