Description
The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is seeking to pre-qualify contractors and suppliers for two categories: Category A for Plumbing Systems Maintenance & Repairs, and Category B for Plumbing Parts and Supplies. This solicitation aims to establish a list of qualified vendors for a three-year period, beginning November 1, 2023, with options for three additional one-year renewals. Category A includes a comprehensive scope of work for plumbing maintenance and repairs at various DSBN facilities. This encompasses maintenance and repair of plumbing fixtures, roof drains, domestic water lines and heaters, drainage systems, flush valves, science lab plumbing, eyewash stations, kitchen fixtures, hydronic heating lines, gas piping, welding, and drain flushing. It also incorporates work related to sewer and drainage construction, installation or replacement of sewer systems, drainage systems, water services, hydro-excavation, vacuum truck drain system work, and drain system location services. Emergency plumbing services such as drain cleaning, leak repair, and sewer line inspection are also included. The DSBN expects contractors to respond to general service requests within 24 hours, provide a completion timeline within one week, and complete and invoice service requests within 30 calendar days. Work orders are typically small, but larger jobs may be assigned. Category B focuses on sourcing plumbing parts and supplies through competitive proposals. Suppliers will be selected based on discount, availability, fees, and proximity to DSBN locations for pick-up or delivery. The scope includes pipes, fittings, valves, plumbing fixtures, pumps, and connectors. The DSBN reserves the right to purchase parts and supplies based on "best fit" criteria and may obtain quotes from multiple pre-qualified suppliers. There is no guarantee of purchase volume.
