Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to pursue a sole-source, firm-fixed-price architect-engineer contract with Mills-Conoly Engineering, P.C., the designer of record for Project 619-25-902, Mitigate Critical Electrical Hazards. The requirement supports construction at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System’s Tuskegee and Montgomery campuses and is anticipated to run for approximately 365 calendar days concurrently with the construction project. Services include technical support during construction solicitation, responses to requests for information and technical questions, review of contractor submittals and shop drawings, technical review of changes and change proposals, design clarifications and revisions, site visits and construction inspections, final inspection support, and preparation or updating of as-built design documentation and BIM information. This is a presolicitation notice and not a request for competitive proposals; respondents should submit capability information rather than pricing. The Government specifically requests qualifications, professional registrations, relevant construction-period experience, experience interpreting or assuming responsibility for another firm’s design, proposed review and validation approach, transition schedule, and current capacity.
