Description
The City of Rome is soliciting bids for a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, and materials for an exterior painting project at the Rome Transit Department. The scope includes painting exterior masonry and stucco walls; metal wall panels at the maintenance garage and wash bay; personnel doors and frames; overhead-door frames and trim; awnings, fascia, trim, gutters, downspouts, railings, bollards, steel supports, posts, brackets, utility doors, and other painted metal components. The contractor must thoroughly prepare surfaces through cleaning, pressure washing, sanding, scraping, caulking, patching, rust treatment, and priming as appropriate; apply commercial-grade exterior coatings with a minimum of two finish coats unless the manufacturer specifies otherwise; protect surrounding property and transit operations; dispose of coatings and debris properly; maintain accessible routes and safe site conditions; coordinate work with the Transit Department; complete a final walkthrough and punch-list corrections; and provide a one-year written workmanship warranty. The bid must include a lump-sum price, anticipated start and completion dates, project duration, four similar-project references from the last five years, required affidavits and certifications, applicable bond forms, a bid form, and a certificate of insurance.
