Description
Battelle is seeking firm-fixed-price proposals for fabrication and delivery of 19 line items for a HIP can study: metal shims, pocket plates, foils, strongbacks, HIP cans and lids in both DQ steel and e-beam-weldable stainless steel, and DQ steel and stainless-steel HIP can tooling. The scope includes nonrecurring engineering and tooling design for the two tooling items, first-article production, and Neolube 1.1 coating on applicable parts. Components must meet the attached technical specification and drawings, including dimensional and workmanship requirements, identification, individual vacuum-sealed packaging where specified, and shipment on skids. The specification also calls for tooling design and simulation results to be presented before tooling fabrication. The proposal must include pricing, a company capability statement, confirmation of the ability to meet the technical specification and drawings, completed Representations and Certifications, applicable ECCN or ITAR category information, and lead times. The solicitation permits partial proposals and may result in multiple awards, although it warns that failure to offer all specified items and quantities may result in a nonresponsive proposal. The RFP lists a required delivery date of June 30, 2027. The technical specification also identifies material certification, certificates of conformance, and other vendor data as contract deliverables; these are not all proposal-stage submittals.
