Description
Fairbanks Local School District is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of HVAC systems serving the high school and middle school gymnasiums. The project includes demolition and removal of existing rooftop units and associated controls, installation of new packaged rooftop units, ductwork modifications and cleaning, natural-gas and hydronic piping work, electrical connections, roof curbs or structural supports, air distribution components, insulation, masonry and architectural repairs, and related construction. The new systems include Daikin Applied rooftop units, building automation system integration with the school’s existing BAS, demand-controlled ventilation, carbon dioxide and humidity monitoring, testing, adjusting and balancing, commissioning, fire-alarm and safety interlocks, and related controls programming. Addendum 01 revises the construction documents, adds and updates specification sections and drawings, and requires bidders to acknowledge receipt of the addendum on the Bid Form; failure to acknowledge it may disqualify a bidder. The project is a one-time construction requirement and includes a bid guaranty requirement.
