Description
The City of San Bruno is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide ongoing landscape maintenance for city-owned medians, rights-of-way, and designated lots. The scope includes routine maintenance for all designated areas, including monthly litter pickup and weeding, quarterly pruning of shrubs and trees, pesticide application, and maintaining vegetation in a clean and weed-free condition. The same landscaping and general maintenance standards apply to the base medians and both alternates, including vegetation in mapped rights-of-way areas and sidewalk strips. Proposers must bid on Alternate 1, and the City will not convert that scope to time-and-materials work. Encroachment permits are required from Caltrans for work on El Camino Real and from the City for other areas. The current agreement has a not-to-exceed amount of $202,884 per year, consisting of $124,611 for the base medians, $75,564 for Alternate 1, and $2,709 for Alternate 2. The contract is structured as a one-year term with up to two additional one-year extensions. Addendum No. 4 confirms that proposals remain due October 20, 2026, at 4:00 PM Pacific Time, and that the addendum must be acknowledged by number and date in the Letter of Transmittal.
