Description
The 22nd District Agricultural Association is soliciting bids for qualified inspectors to provide ride and game safety inspection services for the San Diego County Fair. The scope includes pre-opening setup inspections; daily inspections of approximately 70–80 rides and 40–50 games, electrical systems, and fairgrounds hazards; monitoring corrective actions and operator compliance; safety meetings; incident response; daily reports; and a final report with photographic documentation. Inspectors must hold valid NAARSO Level II certification or higher and have at least five years of ride safety inspection experience. The contract is expected to have a 12-month initial term with two two-year renewal options. The solicitation requires current insurance documentation with $1,000,000 in commercial general liability coverage, automobile liability evidence, and workers’ compensation coverage if the bidder has employees. A mandatory 3% DVBE participation requirement applies, and additional preference or incentive programs may be available. Bids are evaluated on a pass/fail responsiveness basis and awarded to the lowest-cost responsible bidder.
