Description
Clemson University is seeking proposals for a phased pilot study evaluating remedial alternatives to intercept a contaminant plume and reduce or prevent further migration into an unnamed tributary to Eighteen Mile Creek. Offerors must select one preferred technology—carbon injection, air sparging, or installation of a site cap—and provide a technical remediation plan addressing equipment, power, staffing, implementation timing, installation, pilot duration, company and staff qualifications, and experience with groundwater contamination and the proposed technology. Removal and disposal of source material will not be considered. Optional proposals for other technologies may be submitted separately but will not be scored. Phase I consists of developing and submitting the proposed plan for South Carolina Department of Environmental Services approval; Phase II consists of executing the approved plan. Phase I must be completed no more than six months after award, and Phase II will not begin until the plan is approved. Pricing must include an itemized total price for the selected solution, installation, maintenance, and additional implementation or maintenance services. The contract will be awarded to one vendor.
