Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a firm-fixed-price construction contractor to inspect, evaluate, and repair the existing main electrical service serving a mechanical building, restoring safe and reliable power and providing infrastructure for a new three-phase service. Work includes excavation, trenching, backfilling, conduit and other site preparation for a utility-installed transformer and service line; abandoning the existing underground electrical feed in place; obtaining permits and inspections; and coordinating the final connection with the local utility. The contractor must submit a final site plan for approval, and work cannot begin until the agency’s cultural-resources office provides clearance. An optional task covers cultural-resource compliance, including pedestrian and subsurface inventories, archaeological monitoring during ground-disturbing work, and preparation of inventory and monitoring reports. The contractor must coordinate work to avoid impacts to hatchery fish-rearing systems and comply with the stated construction, safety, utility, and reporting requirements. The solicitation also requires a technical schedule and mitigation plan, documentation of qualifying similar electrical infrastructure projects, past-performance information, and a completed price schedule.
