Norfolk Naval Shipyard requires rental of three trailer-mounted emergency diesel generators: one 500 kW unit and two 350 kW units, along with three 800-amp automatic transfer switches. The generators must meet specified electrical, fuel capacity, enclosure, connection, safety, and testing requirements; certified load-bank test data and technical documentation are required upon delivery. The contractor must provide routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance and repair throughout the rental term, with 24/7/365 coverage, on-site technician arrival within four hours of notification, and unit replacement within eight hours if repairs cannot be completed on site. The scope also includes weather and corrosion protection, security-compliant drivers and technicians, and a technical representative for initial installation coordination and checks.
