Description
Boone County Public Works is seeking bids to furnish and deliver asphalt materials, including Class 2 asphalt surface mix, Class 2 asphalt base mix, fine cold patch, and 50-pound bags of fine cold patch. Pricing is requested per ton for the bulk materials and per bag for the packaged cold patch; quantities are estimates, with no minimum purchase requirement. The contract allows orders for more or less than estimated quantities and requires delivery within seven calendar days after an order unless otherwise specified. The bid also includes a supplier-pickup pricing schedule. Asphalt surface and base mixes must meet current Kentucky Department of Highways specifications. Prices are generally firm for the contract term, with specified asphalt price adjustments based on the Kentucky Average Price Index. Mix designs are not required. Safety Data Sheets are required with the bid when applicable, and descriptive literature is requested for products other than the referenced acceptable products.
