Description
The City is soliciting bids for the supply of asphalt materials on an as-needed basis, including multiple asphalt mixes and emulsions, washed sand, and crushed aggregate base. The cost proposal requests unit pricing for specified estimated quantities and a delivery cost; the award is on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The City may make one or multiple awards, and there is no minimum purchase commitment. Materials under 40 tons will be picked up by City vehicles; larger quantities will be delivered by the bidder. Pickup locations must be within 45 miles of the City, materials must be available for pickup within 24 hours of an order, and delivery is generally required within 30 calendar days of an order. Bidders must provide product descriptions and supporting literature, identify the offered products, and state the plant address and return policy. The initial contract term is one year, with two additional one-year options.
