Description
The University of Notre Dame is seeking qualifications from suppliers capable of producing precision-machined, one-piece bladed rotors, including blisks, integrally bladed rotors, and fan rotors, from solid or forged titanium alloys and precipitation-hardening stainless steels. The anticipated work supports prototype and low-volume turbomachinery research and development, with evolving designs defined primarily by three-dimensional models and STEP files. Suppliers must demonstrate five-axis machining, process planning, tooling and fixturing, material traceability, design-for-manufacturability support, and the ability to manage subcontracted processes while retaining responsibility for quality and schedule. The response must address detailed machining, material, heat treatment, nondestructive testing, balancing, metrology, model-based inspection, quality systems, data handling, export-control capability, capacity, lead times, and comparable past performance. The University intends to establish a nonexclusive pool of qualified suppliers for future competitive requests for quotation; this qualification does not request pricing for a specific production requirement. Responses must include the completed coversheet, a qualification response, the required technical response spreadsheet, references, and any applicable fee-summary workbook or addenda, submitted electronically through the sourcing portal in the required editable formats.
