Description
The Military Sealift Command is conducting market research on the availability and pricing of U.S.- and foreign-flag, self-sustaining vessels capable of transporting three U.S. Navy landing craft air cushions. Float-on/float-off, lift-on/lift-off, and tug-and-barge options will be considered. The requested voyage is from Panama City, Florida, to Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with an available loading window of February 16–26, 2027. Respondents are asked to provide vessel and flag details, stowage and loading/discharge plans, vessel range, estimated loading and discharge times, voyage duration and planned discharge date, supercargo capacity, a lump-sum price, and a demurrage rate. The proposed price should account for applicable loading, stowage, securing, discharge, and independent marine surveyor costs. The contractor would provide cradles and securing materials, gas-free certification before discharge, and temporary toilet facilities for any float-on/float-off operations. This is a sources-sought market research notice, not a request for offers.
