Description
The United Nations Volunteers Programme seeks a provider to transport diplomatic pouches to and from the United Nations Office in Bonn. Services include international airfreight or, for European destinations, air or road transport; collection and verification of pouch counts and weights; airline bookings and customs clearance; shipment monitoring and online tracking; and arrival and delivery confirmation. The provider must deliver shipments to Geneva and New York within four working days of collection and deliver incoming consignments from Cologne-Bonn Airport to the UN Bonn Campus on the day of receipt, including unloading and handover to the mail room. The scope also includes secure handling and chain-of-custody procedures, claims handling for loss or damage, a dedicated English-speaking account manager and replacement, monthly shipment statements and invoicing, and quotations for ad hoc special shipments. The solicitation requests a company profile, registration certificate, recent and ongoing project information, experience and capability responses, and completed quotation, declaration, and financial offer information. The agreement is for 24 months, with a possible extension of up to 12 months, for a maximum total term of 36 months.
