Description
The City seeks watering services for up to 80 self-watering hanging baskets and four 48-inch planters in the Tree Plaza. The contractor must water the baskets at least twice weekly during the spring/summer season and weekly during the fall/winter season, weather permitting. The work also includes collecting and reinstalling the baskets twice annually around seasonal plantings, with services performed outside downtown business hours. The City may provide a water source at no cost. The scope includes watering newly planted trees throughout the city. The specifications call for weekly watering during a tree’s first year and biweekly watering during its second year, weather dependent, along with checking soil moisture, applying water, drilling around the root ball, exposing the root flare, and removing low branches and sucker growth. Bidders must submit the completed bid cost sheet, project references, addenda acknowledgment, and proof of insurance. The contract is stated as a 12-month term with up to two additional one-year renewals.
