Description
The County of Maui is soliciting electronic sealed bids for Job No. 24-36, the Old County Courthouse Building Renovations Project. The approximately 12,502-square-foot project involves repairs and refurbishment of the exterior and interior of the Historic Wailuku Courthouse, including historic wood, door, window, lath, plaster, and flooring treatment; selective demolition and salvage; concrete repairs; new guardrails; coatings; membrane roofing; interior finishes and furnishings; and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. The scope also includes asbestos abatement, lead-containing paint controls, mold remediation, hazardous-materials testing and air monitoring, hazardous-materials surveys, erosion and dust controls, and related containment, disposal, and clearance activities. Bidders must be licensed under Chapter 444, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and must submit the completed and signed proposal with bid security. The proposal requires a bid bond, and the successful bidder must later provide 100-percent performance and payment bonds.
