Description
This Sources Sought Notice seeks information from qualified prime construction contractors for a future standalone, firm-fixed-price design-build contract to replace eight flood-damaged structures with a consolidated warehouse facility at Radford Army Ammunition Plant. The selected contractor would complete the design from a government-provided 15% design package and construct a usable general-storage warehouse with administrative and support functions. The anticipated scope includes site clearing and grubbing, cut and fill, grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, utility connections, stormwater management, site access, roadway and pedestrian improvements, and warehouse features such as dust-mitigation exhaust fans, fire doors, at least three-level material racks, climate control as needed, restrooms, and interior or covered loading docks. The facility is expected to have a minimum 25-year service life, with an anticipated construction duration of 1,095 calendar days. The estimated construction magnitude is $25 million to $100 million. Respondents must submit a capability narrative addressing relevant warehouse, karst-area, federal design-build, bonding, and project experience, along with up to five similar completed-project references and responses concerning a potential Project Labor Agreement. This notice will not result in an award.
