Description
Western University is seeking a supplier to provide and install two GMP research autoclaves for use in biological research, translational research, bioprocess development, quality control, and future GMP manufacturing activities. The systems must support validated steam sterilization of laboratory instruments, glassware, bioprocess equipment components, media, aqueous solutions, culture vessels, consumables, waste materials, and other laboratory items. Preference may be given to systems supporting advanced documentation, electronic records, qualification activities, and high-throughput operation. The scope includes equipment, delivery, installation, and training, with related service and support requirements. Proponents must address technical and functional requirements, experience with GMP research autoclaves, references, service and support, sustainability, accessibility, value-added options, pricing, and any applicable in-kind contribution. The estimated project budget is CAD $391,598 plus HST. The agreement lasts until receipt of the equipment and satisfaction of the supplier’s obligations; the proposed start date is December 1, 2026, and delivery is expected in Fall 2026.
