Description
Weber State University is soliciting bids for one high-temperature controlled-atmosphere furnace system to support elevated-temperature mechanical testing and materials research. The furnace must integrate with an Instron 68FM-300 load frame, support inert-gas operation using nitrogen or argon, and provide programmable heating and cooling, over-temperature protection, vacuum and purge equipment, water-cooled seals, instrumentation feedthroughs, and safety shutdown features. The system must operate at a temperature of at least 1,600°C, with preference for 1,700°C capability, and have a minimum 10-inch by 10-inch by 10-inch working zone. It must support tensile and compression testing, extensometer and/or digital image correlation measurements, and include installation documentation, training materials, maintenance and calibration requirements, electrical schematics, recommended spare parts, and warranty information. This is a one-time purchase, with the university reserving the right to purchase additional products for up to 120 days after the initial purchase.
