Description
The project involves rehabilitation of an owner-occupied home, including replacement of twelve Marvin or equivalent in-kind windows with screens; cedar siding, trim, plywood substrate, and deteriorated structural beam repairs; exterior preparation and painting; and removal and replacement of the existing roofing system. Roofing work includes plywood repairs as needed, ice shield, drip edge, flashing, architectural shingles, and ridge vent installation. The contractor must comply with applicable New York State, national, and local building codes; dispose of construction debris; develop drawings and specifications needed for permits; and maintain a clean, secure site during construction. The project assumes lead-based paint on wood components, requires EPA lead-safe certification and a lead-certified person on site at all times, and includes lead clearance testing. Bidders must submit current workers' compensation and liability insurance certificates, EPA lead-paint certification, the Non-Collusive Bidding Certification, and the completed bid submission package. Subcontracting is permitted, with subcontractors identified by work item.
