Description
Pomona Unified School District is soliciting bids for district-wide collection and disposal of solid waste, organics recycling, green waste, roll-off services, special and on-demand pickups, and related emergency services. The contractor must furnish, deliver, maintain, clean, replace, and relocate leak-proof commercial containers and dumpsters, including approximately 100 containers and various 2-, 3-, 4-, 6-, 10-, 20-, 32-gallon, and 40-cubic-yard units. Services cover approximately 52 pickup points across Pomona, Diamond Bar, and adjacent unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, with specified weekday, Saturday/holiday, summer, and on-demand schedules. The contractor must achieve at least 50% trash diversion, provide diversion documentation, furnish compliant vehicles and equipment, maintain required licenses and city authorizations, provide annual on-site training, and respond to missed pickups and emergency call-outs within the stated timeframes. The bid includes monthly and per-haul pricing for trash, organics, green waste, roll-off, overflow, and special pickup services. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required, and the solicitation requires a sealed physical bid with specified forms, bid security, and wet-ink signatures. Performance and payment bonds are required from the successful contractor after award, and insurance is required before work begins.
