Description
The City of Atlanta is conducting a qualifications-based selection for professional services related to replacing the distressed Marietta Road bridge over the former CSX Tilford Yard. The project includes a new bridge structure, pavement, curb and gutter, and continuous five-foot sidewalks on both sides of the bridge, plus a continuous sidewalk along approximately 0.8 mile of Marietta Road. The existing bridge is a 423.5-foot, five-span concrete box beam structure built in 1971. The Phase I submission is a Statement of Qualifications emphasizing the prime consultant’s experience and qualifications, resources, and workload capacity. The prime must hold specified Georgia Department of Transportation prequalifications, and the project team must collectively hold additional listed area-class prequalifications. Three to five firms are expected to be shortlisted for Phase II, which will evaluate technical approach and past performance; shortlisted firms may also be asked to present or interview. Pricing is requested only from the shortlisted firm selected for negotiations. The solicitation also requires specified completed forms and supporting materials, including financial-capability and insurance evidence, and Phase II Office of Contract Compliance documentation.
