Description
The City of Billings is soliciting bids for construction of a connection to an existing water main and approximately 50 linear feet of 24-inch-diameter PVC water main along 44th Street West. The work includes fittings and appurtenances for tying into the existing distribution system within Grand Avenue, excavation, water-main construction and testing, and restoration of pavement and an irrigation ditch. The work must be completed during a weekend. Bids may be submitted by email, mail, or hand delivery. An emailed bid must include a scanned bid bond; mailed or hand-delivered bids must include the required bid security. The bid security must be a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the City of Billings in an amount of at least 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-materials payment bonds and required insurance. The contractor and subcontractors must be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry.
