Description
Broward County's Auditor's Office is seeking an independent Certified Public Accounting firm to perform annual financial and compliance audits and issue opinions for the County, its Constitutional Officers, and Component Units. The scope includes audits of governmental and enterprise funds, federal and state grant audits, internal-control reviews, information-technology general and application-control reviews, management letters, special reports, and related agreed-upon procedures. The auditor must be licensed under Florida law, and the engagement partner must hold a Florida CPA license. The work covers fiscal years 2027 through 2031 and includes recurring interim and year-end fieldwork, numerous entity- and fund-specific reports, audit findings and management letters, presentations, biweekly virtual updates during fieldwork, and 24 hours of annual continuing professional education for County employees. The solicitation requires a 25% County Business Enterprise participation goal, financial statements for the proposer's most recent two years, a minimum of three qualifying references, proof of CPA firm and partner licensure, security and vendor questionnaires, and multiple certifications and disclosures.
