Description
This construction project includes safety improvements along 10 Mile Road and numerous traffic-signal intersections in Galveston. Work includes metal beam guard fence and guardrail end treatments, traffic signal equipment and signal-head backplates, traffic handling, barricades and signs, pavement markings, concrete and roadway work, erosion and sedimentation controls, and related mobilization and site preparation. The project manual includes design plans, TxDOT specifications, federal-aid requirements, and a detailed bid schedule. The estimated project budget is $272,116, the project duration is 204 calendar days, and liquidated damages include $250 per day plus applicable contract-administration damages. Bidders must submit the complete electronic bid package, including the proposal, pricing, required certifications, four references, and a 5% bid bond. Performance and payment bonds are required at contract execution, and the project requires compliance with DBE participation and good-faith-effort requirements.
