Description
The City of Paducah Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting proposals for renovation of approximately 340 feet of floating transient boat dock. Work includes inspection and assessment; replacement of damaged treated wood and steel framing; replacement of marine-rated composite decking, toe boards, cap rails, cleats, bumpers, fasteners, access panels, and covers; repair of a four-foot-square section damaged during a water rescue; and reinstallation or adjustment of affected utility connections and flexible connections. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, permits, and licenses, and must install new materials in accordance with the specified requirements. Respondents must be authorized to operate in Kentucky, experienced with Kentucky Building Code and marina or docking-facility construction, and able to provide at least three similar-project references. Proposals must include a completed cost estimate form, project timeline, product specifications and equipment details, warranty information, proof of licensing and insurance, references, and product and manufacturing information. A minimum one-year workmanship warranty is required. The City has allocated $160,000 for the project.
