Description
The Princeton Electric Plant Board is soliciting a turnkey contractor to replace 61 utility poles and reconductor approximately 27,350 linear feet of distribution wire on Eagle Street, Market Street, Main Street, and Highway 62 in Princeton. The scope includes pole setting, guying, framing, conductor stringing, transfers of existing transformers, secondary lines, streetlights, metering, and fiber-optic cables, along with associated design, electrical, and mechanical work. The Board will provide all materials, while the contractor must provide labor, equipment, permits, inspections, engineering approvals, traffic control, safety compliance, quality assurance, and restoration of disturbed landscaping, asphalt, and concrete. Rock excavation, if encountered, is an additional unit-price item. The project is federally assisted and subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage, certified-payroll, and related labor-standard requirements. Proposals are evaluated on contractor experience and past performance, work plan, price, and references. The contractor must submit a qualification package, references, subcontractor list, basis of pricing, contractor affidavit, online cost proposal, and required federal and project certifications through the procurement portal.
