Description
Parks Canada Agency requires construction and marine-contractor services to rehabilitate the Gwaii Haanas Float Camp. The work includes removing marine growth; installing protective floatation barriers and additional encapsulated floatation; replacing anchors, mooring lines, chains, counterweights, float-to-float connections, bull rails, and rub rails; repairing corrosion and interior finishes; upgrading rainwater systems with filtration and ultraviolet treatment; installing propane-fired incinerator toilets and associated plumbing; and constructing a cedar walkway between the floating structures. The contractor must provide marine-grade materials, shop drawings and technical specifications, environmental and site-safety plans, debris-disposal planning, a project schedule, and final reports/as-built documentation. The remote site is accessible only by boat or float plane, and the contractor is responsible for transporting personnel and materials, equipment inspections, permits, debris removal, and site safety. The procurement uses a two-submission process: qualifications and Indigenous Participation Plan in Submission 1, and the Bid and Acceptance Form and Combined Price Form in Submission 2. No bid or contract security is required. Work must be completed by October 31, 2027, and the contract is estimated at 12 months.
