Description
The California Correctional Training and Rehabilitation Authority is soliciting an estimated two-year requirement of fresh compressed baker's yeast for its Bakery Enterprise. The estimated quantity is 86,400 pounds, with a minimum order requirement of 3,600 pounds per month, typically delivered as 1,200 pounds weekly for three of four weeks each month. The yeast must meet the stated commodity standard, including refrigerated storage between 34°F and 45°F, 5-pound individually wrapped blocks packaged eight per 40-pound case, a maximum 21-day shelf life under ideal conditions, and applicable food-safety and manufacturing requirements. The reference brand is Eagle, rebranded as Lal^Ferm; alternate products may require a nutritional data sheet and, if requested, a 40-pound sample for testing. Deliveries must be made F.O.B. destination during specified weekday morning hours and include a packing slip and Certificate of Analysis.
