Description
The San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority is soliciting proposals for a marine retrofit of the Treasure Island Ferry Terminal floating dock. The contractor must install an owner-furnished Tritium Tri-Flex float-mounted charging system consisting of one hub with two rectification units, two DC power units, and four MCS dispensers, along with the associated 480 VAC distribution system, conduit, cable trays, distribution panels, transformers, receptacles, lighting, and cable installation. The work also includes structural and outfitting modifications, including new foundations, platforms, ramps, railings, hatches, ladders, fender knees, potable-water modifications, lifesaving-equipment relocation, signage, and an automated hydraulic mooring system with two line tensioners, hydraulic power equipment, controls, piping, davits, and counterweights. The contractor must perform in-place marine construction, coordinate with the separate shoreside electrification contractor, conduct testing and commissioning, provide training and quality documentation, and support a 365-day warranty period. The technical proposal is limited to 12 pages, excluding the cover letter, table of contents, resumes, required forms, DBE certifications, and cost proposal.
