Description
Rockdale County is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and related construction services for rehabilitation of the Haralson Mill Road Covered Bridge over a tributary of Big Haynes Creek. The work includes removing the existing timber deck and installing a reinforced concrete deck, installing expansion joints, repairing masonry and wingwalls, replacing cedar shake roofing, restoring bridge timber and wood facade components, staining the concrete deck, repairing structural elements, and completing associated traffic control and incidental work. The road will be closed during rehabilitation. The bid package requires the completed bid proposal and bid schedule, a 5% bid bond or certified/cashier's check, applicable contractor and subcontractor affidavits and certifications, subcontractor notification information, a current Georgia general contractor's license, and one USB flash drive containing the bid in Adobe PDF format. The work is to be completed within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The contractor must self-perform at least 50% of the work and, after award, provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance.
