Description
The Federal Aviation Administration requires approximately 32 replacement industrial-grade, UV-blocking protective mesh screen curtains for two outdoor storage bays at the AJW-L600 Distribution Center Cable Yard. The contractor must verify field measurements, remove and dispose of the existing curtains and hardware, manufacture or procure custom replacement curtains, provide mounting brackets and related hardware, deliver and install the curtains, and complete final inspection and testing. The curtains must withstand continuous outdoor exposure, UV radiation, wind, rain, airborne debris, mildew, moisture, and environmental degradation while maintaining airflow and operational accessibility. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, tools, permits, and incidental services; coordinate with the FAA's Contracting Officer's Representative; submit shop drawings, product specifications, and material data for approval; maintain an accident prevention plan and quality-control program; and provide warranty and, if applicable, as-built documentation. All work must be completed within 60 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The pre-award site visit is not mandatory, but attendees must provide acceptable government-issued identification and notify Connie Houpt by noon Central Time on August 31, 2026. All contract line items are firm-fixed price, and the requirement is being competed on a full-and-open basis.
