Description
The City of Mississauga is procuring a supplier to provide fresh, frozen, and processed fruits and vegetables to designated City-owned and operated facilities on an as-needed basis. Estimated requirements include assorted vegetables, fruits, herbs, and berries, with quantities subject to adjustment and orders potentially involving split cases or items ordered by piece rather than case. The supplier must deliver Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. using temperature-controlled vehicles. Continuous temperature monitoring during transit is mandatory, with required temperatures of 1°C to 4°C. The supplier must also submit and implement a Waste Reduction Strategy, provide semi-annual waste reports, and comply with the City's sustainability requirements. Pricing must be submitted through the electronic bidding system, and the award will be made to the lowest-compliant bidder based on total cost.
