Description
The Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) is seeking proposals from vendors to provide services for the statewide Massachusetts Impaired Driving program (MID). This program is an educational/treatment program for individuals convicted of an Operating Under the Influence (OUI) charge. The MID program is offered to individuals ordered by Massachusetts District Courts to complete a state-approved psycho-educational program as a consequence of a conviction for Operating Under the Influence, first offense. The program aims to raise participants' awareness of the effects of substance use on driving and behavior, influencing behavioral changes to lower the risk of future OUI and/or substance-use-based problems. The program also educates participants about the impact of substance use on family, work, and community interactions, and informs them of available community services.
