Description
Galveston County seeks one or more contractors to provide aerial adulticide application for mosquito control, primarily for emergency use or as secondary support to its primary contractor. The contractor must supply suitable aircraft and qualified pilots, apply Dibrom containing Naled at the specified label rate, and meet detailed requirements for aircraft certification, spray guidance and mapping systems, nozzle equipment, weather monitoring, and GPS grid guidance. Contractors must be able to treat at least 20,000 acres per application event and be ready to begin spraying within 72 hours of a request. The work also includes safe insecticide handling, trained personnel, availability seven days a week, and a detailed spray mission report within 48 hours after each application. Proposals must include per-acre and per-event pricing, company experience and references, company certifications and licenses, aircraft and pilot qualifications, capacity information, and a mobilization timeline. A current certificate of insurance or an eligible notarized insurance-company statement is required with the response. The solicitation permits multiple awards; the contract form describes a three-year initial term with two one-year extensions. The solicitation states that subcontracting requires prior written County consent.
