Description
The Village of Hoffman Estates is soliciting construction services to restore the Community Park pond and convert a degraded detention basin into a restored stream channel with wetland habitat. The work includes shoreline stabilization and regrading, sediment forebay excavation, rock toe and rock riffle construction, outlet-structure modification, streambed excavation, riprap and erosion-control measures, clearing and stump removal, and related earthwork, hauling, dewatering, traffic control, and site restoration. The contractor must furnish and install native seed, 2-inch native plant plugs, trees, shrubs, erosion-control blankets, and other habitat materials; perform invasive-species control and three-year native-plant maintenance; complete SWPPP reporting, annual U.S. Army Corps of Engineers monitoring reports, pre-construction video, and as-built drawings. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the project site. The project must begin by March 15, 2027, reach substantial completion by June 30, 2027, and reach final completion by August 16, 2027.
