Description
The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services seeks a vendor to provide replacement parts, supplies, tools, and replacement equipment for equipment used to fill, maintain, and handle low- and high-pressure cylinders, including fire extinguishers and related cartridges. The scope includes OEM replacement parts, piping, valves, gauges, regulators, safety valves, specialized tools, and operating supplies. The vendor must provide catalog, product-list, or website pricing and a discount off retail pricing; non-OEM parts require department approval. The contract also covers repair, maintenance, modification, installation, and service of the department's existing and future equipment. The vendor must provide hourly service pricing, written estimates before work begins, qualified personnel, all tools and equipment needed for repairs, and no more than a 7% markup on repair parts. The initial term is two years, with up to two additional two-year renewals, for a maximum six-year term. Estimated spending is approximately $1,500 per year and $8,000 over the contract life, with purchases made as needed and no guaranteed minimum.
