Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is offering a technology licensing opportunity for the Spectrometer Purposed for Accelerator Testing and Characterization (SPATC), a portable device that safely measures the power and energy of electron beams from particle accelerators. The device uses two precisely controlled aluminum wedges to vary thickness, allowing analysis of beam energy interaction, with sensors recording absorbed versus transmitted energy and a graphite block capturing the remaining beam for current readings. It is remotely controlled via computer, provides real-time data, and operates in open air without breaking vacuum. Key advantages include portability, fast and accurate measurements, remote operation, non-invasive testing, precision engineering, and enhanced safety. The technology is at TRL 7, has a US patent pending, and is available for exclusive or non-exclusive licensing. This is not a call for external services for development.
