Description
The Kanawha County Board of Education is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified architectural and engineering firms for additions and renovations at Elk Center Elementary School. The scope includes evaluation of existing conditions; modernization of instructional and support spaces; new program areas; building-system upgrades; site and infrastructure improvements; architectural and engineering design; construction documents; permitting coordination; and design and construction administration. The qualifications submission must address the firm's organization, K-12 design experience, comparable projects, key personnel and consultants, project approach, quality-control and construction-administration systems, and project references. The SOQ is limited to 20 pages, excluding the cover letter and resumes; resumes are limited to two pages per key team member. Firms must submit one original and five copies in a bound, tabbed format, with previous project reference letters included as appendices. The selected firm will be negotiated with under a qualifications-based selection process using a standard AIA owner-architect agreement.
