Description
The Virginia Community College System, through its Shared Services Center and on behalf of Reynolds Community College, seeks a contractor to design and produce two identical professional mascot costume sets representing Sarge the Red Hawk. The costumes must reflect the college’s established artwork, logos, brand standards, and official colors, while supporting public appearances, expressive movement, performer comfort, visibility, ventilation, moisture management, adjustability, durability, safety, and ease of maintenance. The contractor must provide design sketches or digital renderings, revisions, college approval before fabrication, exclusive rights for the lifetime of the costumes, and the original mascot sketch. The scope also includes professional-grade fabrication, written cleaning, storage, maintenance, and repair instructions, replacement-part support, a written warranty, and two durable carrying/storage bags for each costume. Proposals must address the design and construction approach, comparable mascot experience, materials, performance characteristics, performer height range, delivery timeline, support, and pricing. The solicitation package includes Addendum No. 1, which incorporates questions and answers. The proposal must be submitted electronically through eVA; email submissions are not accepted.
