Description
The project involves replacing one rooftop unit integrated with the building automation system and one cooling-only split-system air-conditioning unit. Work also includes related ductwork modifications, a new equipment curb, a roof hydrant connected to domestic water, gas and electrical work, controls integration, and testing and balancing. Roof modifications must be performed by a Carlisle- and DFCM-certified contractor to preserve the roof warranty. Work must be scheduled to minimize disruption, with disruptive work after normal business hours and the rooftop-unit replacement over a long weekend. All onsite workers must submit a background check before working at the site. Bids are limited to contractors prequalified through the applicable Stage I process and currently listed as prequalified mechanical contractors. A mandatory bidder meeting is required for prime contractors. A bid bond equal to 5% of the bid must accompany the online bid. The subcontractor list is due by email after the bid deadline; the health-insurance compliance form applies only when the stated contract-value threshold is met and is due from the awarded contractor before notice to proceed.
