Description
The College of New Caledonia is seeking a contractor through a negotiated request for proposal to upgrade the HVAC system at the Nahoonai-a Indigenous student housing building. The work includes supplying and installing approximately 14 split-system air-conditioning console units, a nominal 8-ton outdoor condensing unit, refrigerant and condensate piping, controls, electrical connections, enclosures, interior repairs, commissioning, testing, demonstrations, operating and maintenance manuals, as-installed drawings, and other close-out materials. Concrete pad and associated structural work are excluded from the proponent's scope and must not be priced. The selected contractor must coordinate the mechanical, electrical, controls, and related trades; integrate the system with the building automation system; and complete the work in accordance with the provided specifications and drawings. The project is evaluated on corporate experience, team and expertise, methodology and work plan, project schedule, and pricing. The anticipated completion date is March 15, 2027, while the specifications identify March 31, 2027, as the funding end date.
