Description
The Boston Retirement System seeks a licensed certified public accounting firm to audit its annual financial statements and schedules of employer allocations and pension amounts by employer. The work must comply with applicable U.S. auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, GASB Statements 67 and 68, Massachusetts retirement-system requirements, and other applicable legal mandates. The auditor must also prepare and sign the audit opinion, issue a management letter with findings and recommendations, and provide management advisory services when requested, provided independence is not impaired. The contract covers audits for fiscal years 2026 through 2030, with options to renew for one or two additional years. Proposals require separate technical and price submissions. The technical proposal includes the firm’s qualifications, assigned staff, audit approach and work plan, management consultation approach, problem-resolution approach, and references. The price proposal must provide pricing for each contract year and the option years. The solicitation requires one original and five copies of each proposal; the technical proposal is limited to 50 pages excluding appendices.
