Description
The contractor will conduct an intensive Class III pedestrian archaeological survey of approximately 5,719 acres across Bureau of Land Management and Utah Trust Lands Administration parcels. Work supports a planned vegetation management project and includes background research on known cultural resources and prior surveys, field identification and documentation of archaeological sites, and recommendations regarding eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places. Site boundaries, artifacts, and features must be GPS-recorded with submeter accuracy, and the contractor must follow applicable BLM and Utah State Historic Preservation Office standards and guidance. The contractor must provide digital BLM and Utah State Historic Preservation Office deliverables, including a draft and final report package. The scope also specifies a brief Class I literature-review document for the pre-field milestone and allows agency archaeologists to request preliminary fieldwork documentation. Principal investigators, field directors, and crew chiefs must hold the specified current archaeological permits, and the contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and authorizations. Pricing is firm-fixed, with no change orders for unexpected or excessive findings; the bid response must include a total firm-fixed price and per-acre rates.
