Description
Smith County Emergency Services District No. 2 seeks proposals to construct either or both of two tube-steel apparatus bay buildings on existing concrete slabs: a 40-by-60-foot building at one station and a 60-by-60-foot building at another. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, and installation, including structural framing, metal siding and roofing, walk-through doors, overhead doors with electric operators, and anchoring and weather sealing. Separate pricing is required for each location, along with a combined total and any discount for awarding both projects together. The buildings must meet specified structural and design requirements, including 14-gauge framing and engineering certification for 140-mph winds and 30-psf loads. The scope also includes a complete fiberglass insulation system with minimum R-30 roof and R-19 wall insulation, reinforced facing, sealed seams and penetrations, and moisture and splash protection. Bidders must provide three references, project completion timelines, a certificate of insurance, a W-9, and the required vendor questionnaire responses. The District requests copies of insurance certificates with the bid; the successful bidder must maintain workers’ compensation and specified liability coverage.
