Description
The City seeks one prefabricated, engineered steel-framed shed with high-density polyethylene fabric cladding for salt storage, approximately 42 feet wide by 42 feet deep. The scope includes the structure, engineering and sealed drawings, materials, transportation, installation, a three-sided lock-block foundation wall, an interior retaining wall, treated plywood lining, coordination with the City and applicable authorities, final inspection, deficiency correction, and site cleanup. The design and installation must meet applicable codes and standards, including relevant British Columbia and Canadian building requirements, and account for local environmental conditions such as snow, rain, wind, and salt. Site preparation and asphalt flooring are excluded; proponents must state the required base-preparation specifications. Proponents must also provide pricing for an optional structure estimated at 60 feet wide by 42 feet deep. The proposal package includes the completed Form of Proposal and its schedules: exceptions and departures, questionnaire, and pricing proposal. The questionnaire requests company and personnel qualifications, three similar completed projects with drawings and photos and client references, an approach and methodology, a work plan and schedule, and technical specifications and approximate layout drawings. The shed installation is expected to be completed in spring 2027.
