Description
The project involves constructing an approximately 40-by-45-foot, one-story addition at the rear of an existing maintenance building. The prefabricated metal structure will be anchored to a poured-concrete foundation and include a single service bay with a 20-by-14-foot roll-up door, a 22-foot ceiling, electrical service, and lighting. It will be used to service and repair public works and police vehicles. The work is a single-contract, lump-sum construction project and includes associated site access, staging, paving restoration, and restoration of disturbed areas. Bidders must provide bid security equal to 5% of the base bid. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds. The contract requires completion within 270 calendar days after work begins.
